Sophia Ficarrotta is a compassionate and strategic civil rights attorney, dedicated to combating discrimination and addressing institutional betrayal. She is driven by a deep passion for advocacy, empowering survivors, and ensuring that her clients receive the justice they deserve.
Sophia earned her J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law, where she co-founded the Student Organization for Student Advocacy and served as a student representative on the LGBTQ+ Law Caucus. During law school, she focused on advancing survivors' rights, contributing to amicus curiae briefs for the Washington State Supreme Court on institutional liability for survivors of sexual violence and the United States Supreme Court on Second Amendment protections for survivors of intimate partner terrorism.
Before law school, Sophia graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.F.A. in Creative Writing and a minor in Anthropology. An internationally published poet, Sophia brings creativity and empathy to her legal practice, bridging advocacy and storytelling to amplify the voices of those she represents.
